"I photographed a beautiful wedding on Saturday where there was no video person and I could not help but think how much they miss out on without it. The event was filled with marvelous speeches...their vows literally made even me teary eyed. I might be an excellent photographer, but to capture what I experienced with a still camera was impossible. I know that event was a perfect example of how not having a video reduced their wedding experience to fading memories, they wont remember with clarity what people said and how it was expressed. Sound and moving pictures are a critical component to the full experience and documentary process. Without the video, the family will have regrets. If it was my wedding, and I had that many cool friends who loved me and could express it verbally, I would have to have it on video to believe it...It would've been nice to have seen one of the Bob Hoffman peeps covering the event...
